Officiating in April, Spring Cleaning, and the Bluebonnet Festival
It’s been “stale” around here for quite a while, so time to update … I’ll try to do a better job for the rest of this month! Lots of fun stuff going on…

Worked the All-Star game in San Antonio the Friday night before the Final Four. This was the first year that they played the game on the Final Four court, which was pretty cool. It was open to the public and there were plenty in attendance. And, yes, for the rest of the weekend while watching the Final Four games with Brendan I did make comments like, “Have you refereed on that court? No? So it’s only me then?” much to his annoyance! LOL

Yes … “big time” nationally televised game and they spell my name wrong! How do you misspell “Batt”?!?! Ah well … at least I got top billing! (Yeah, yeah, alphabetical order and all, but still…)

I was totally sick of my office — it was a complete disaster, so I decided to take a day and clean things up and reorganize.

Love the results! I moved my desk, put all sorts of wires and electronics in my desk out of sight, and now I can OPEN my windows — what a concept!
And, yes, I have been playing piano quite a bit … Almost have Moonlight Sonata down - maybe 80% - I’ll post something on that soon.

We went to Chappell Hill this past weekend for the Bluebonnet festival. One of my parents neighbors puts on a huge party for this with pony rides and all sorts of other activities… Here’s my niece Samantha on a pony! Fun fun!

Alyssa joining in the pony ride fun as well.

Yes, there were armadillos! And armadillo races as well. I’m really hoping that those were chicken fajitas that we ate!

The Batt family posing for the requisite bluebonnet pics. We took a ton of bluebonnet photos. Richele and Mike brought two other couples with them, so there was a lot of picture time!

Me and Carrie with our nieces.

A Kim Haynes inspired jumping photo - so much fun!

We went to the Waterway Arts Festival on Sunday - although we didn’t take a whole bunch of pictures! We visit this every year and they always do a great job of putting on the show with live musicians, food from local restaurants, etc. We didn’t find anything that really caught our fancy this year, so we walked away empty handed, but we have bought some fun pieces in years past.
That’s all for now … will try to update more often!
