Recall

My car is being recalled.

We’re in!

Well, we are all moved in!

I have to say that SBC promised the world but didn’t deliver. My phone line was “guaranteed” by Tuesday at 6pm and DSL was scheduled to go in Wednesday. When I called on Wednesday and talked to both the DSL and phone support people (two different departments, of course) they both said that my service should be up and running. However, I didn’t even have a dial tone.

After being transferred about three more times, I learned from the “inline support” group that the phone lines in my area have not even been installed yet!!! Furthermore, not only could they not give me a date that they would be installed, they couldn’t give me a date as to when the engineer would call back to let them know a date when the lines would be installed!

I called RoadRunner on Wednesday and it was up and running by Friday noon. And it is FAST!

DSL loses out on this one — mainly because of poor customer service. It is pretty unbelievable that two different departments’ computers show that the service is turned on (phone and DSL) when there isn’t even a physical line out to the building!
